Major strategic initiatives

Corevist, 2017 – 2022

  • Identified “buy-intent” keywords that the company should rank for in Google, based on user intent, target audience, competing content, and keyword difficulty.
  • Developed messaging flow templates, based on CRO best practices and continuous monitoring, to optimize content for conversions.
  • Ideated, developed, created, and published content on the company website.
  • Made strategic, data-driven decisions on which content to improve, and how, to drive brand awareness and lead gen for the company.

  • 567% increase in web traffic

Corevist.com, 2023

  • Old site dated from 2014 and was failing Google’s Page Experience metrics. I raised the issue with management and defined the project requirements.
  • Along with my supervisor, I co-managed the project while an agency (Brands X Humans) rebuilt a complex website with tons of content. I oversaw the preservation and optimization of valuable content, with a view to keeping our inbound marketing performance as strong as possible.

Corevist, 2022

  • Collaborated with CEO on learning the StoryBrand Messaging Framework and translating the methodology into our scenario. I created all the new marketing messages that flowed from this exercise. I also facilitated focus groups with the sales team to take feedback on the new messages and refine them.
  • Rebuilt all major, navigation-linked content on the website to bring our StoryBrand message to the market. Following the company’s strategic decisions, I wrote all copy, created imagery, and managed the agency that built the new website navigation and launched the new content.

Corevist, Inc.

  • Work with contributors from product, technical, and sales teams, as well as executives, to deliver ghostwritten content that 1) shares their expertise, and 2) makes complexity understandable.
  • Develop and write the content myself, relying on 6 years’ experience with the problems that our customers face. Share the ghostwritten content with bylined authors for feedback, make changes, and publish it.

Fiction

Freelance, Nov. 2022 – present

My fantasy novel is under consideration with major publishers in the US and UK, represented by Lucienne Diver, agent to NYT bestselling author N. K. Jemisin.

Only one in 6,000 writers will land an agent, and I’m thankful for this opportunity. The last six years have proven that remote work allows me to deliver value to my employer while still pursuing my oldest passion.
